Main Task: Unmanipulated Photos
This task is going to allow me to group the photos that I took from various photo shoots and help me decide which ones I am using and for what. There will be some images I will not use this will also be displayed along with why I didn't choose them similarly I will do the same for photos I am using and I will include why I am using them.

Front Page
I am going to use this image of the subject as my front page main image. One of the reasons for this is that the subjects is giving I contact initially giving contact to the audience making them feel some how drawn in. The Non Verbal Communication (NVC) of the image allows me to grasp that the Facial expression of the subject is relaxed, bold and confident. The costume that he is wearing is a hoodie and Jeans which are notoriously seen with the image of hip-hop. There is High Key Lighting.
This is the image I am going to use as my main image for my double page spread. A reason for this image is that the subject body language is relaxed allowing the audience to feel chilled whilst reading, the facial expression shows the emotion of warmth as he is slightly smiling making more interesting for the target audience. This image also corresponds with the Hip-Hop genre allowing to be a suitable for use as the DPS.
These images will be placed pn the bottom right of my DPS I will make the black & white and resize them also I am going to add a white stroke around the 3 images. The one with his hood up im going to flip it horizontally to suit my purpose and also resize to fit the rest of the images.
This is one of the images I am going to use for my contents page. I think this picture is strong as the medium long shot has a calm body language and the image depicts what kind of image i was looking for, with this image I am probably going to crop and resize it.
The image above is going to be featured in my contents page this photograph is a two shot of the subjects, I chose this image as the subjects are on there way to a video shoot this can be linked to a story on the contents page as well. This image also suites the young hip-hop look as they are wearing baseball jackets and one is wearing sunglasses.

There is high key lighting used to highlight the subject and make her stand out more, this also relates to the boldness of the Hip-Hop culture, the subject is not looking directly at the camera but her NVQ is innocent relating to the Hip-Hop fans that are more like this.

This medium long shot is one of the images I will not be using this image is that I don't like the way my subject is arching his back as it is simply not what I am going for, however this image is good as the subject has eye contact and is highlighted with high key lighting.

Photos I Am Not Using

The image above is another image I will not be using as it was one of those images that looked better in my head, this shot failed as I couldn't get the right position even after several attempts from laying down to try and get the right position. Another reason that I am not using this image is that it is not very clear making the potential audience likely to get distracted.
I liked this image but I am not going to use it the main reason is because the hand gesture showing 'rap hands' is stereotypical and looks quite awkward in the shot, but besides this the medium shot is strong and it uses high key lighting to highlight the subject more.

| This Is my Hip-Hop mood board as you would be able to see I designed this to interpret the two sides of the genre. On the right side it can be demoted that there are women, cars and money which is the normal perception of Hip-Hop and on the other hand is the other more colourful, vibrant and unique side of the genre. Even though though there are two sides to Hip-Hop I still love the genre shown by the heart that connotes love and passion which I have for the genre and the wings connoting hope and glory showing that even though it is not as mainstream as pop it is still glorious. |
Main Task: Profilling Your Audience
This task requires me to profile my representative target audience and allowing me to explore what my target audience is interested in, what they do in there spare times and also there influences.
The reader of my magazine: Corey is 19 lives and breathes hip-hop: It informs his choice of friends as most of them familiarise themselves with this culture, his hobbies, leisure time, attitudes, fashion sense and lifestyle are also influenced by this. He engages with this type of music when he has free time or is studying. When he is not listening to music or watching music TV,
he is talking to his friends about music , attending concerts, playing video games or in the classroom. He is passionate, sharp, has a strong moral code & rejoices in his individuality.
He is fashion trend setter in his peer groups but he is also influenced by musical icons.Corey loves to wear snapbacks and this was due to Tyga ft Chris Brown - Snapback Back. This shows that Corey loves to follow Hip-Hop trendinging fashions allowing him to feel closer to his favourite artists.

Corey Also dives into the genre of Alternative Hip-Hop he mostly listens to this when he is training in basketball or playing call of duty or other first person shooters and also skateboarding which he attempts sometimes. This point is that he can divert into "Young Hip-Hop" and not always the stenotype of Guns, Money and Girls.

He has a wide variety of artists he listens to and is not stuck on one. The way he looks and his swag is showing his identity to the world.
In Conclusion I found that this task helped me to understand my target Audience better it also allowed me to pinpoint all the detail that I may not have thought about before like having to think what kind of hobbies my target audience take part in, this is going to help me with the content include in magazine and not only that I will be able to take these skills along with me helping me in similar tasks.
